How to Create Tokens

Step 1: Go to and log in with a Ledger or Encrypted Key.

Select the Governance tab and click on "Submit a Proposal". Choose the option to "Create Token".

Select "Create Token" as proposal type

Step 2: Choose the blockchain that the desired token is supported by, and input the token address. Token addresses can be found from explorers such as Etherscan or Bscscan. Do make sure that the token address is correct.

Supported blockchains on Switcheo TradeHub currently include Ethereum, Neo and Binance Smart Chain. This means that any ERC-20, NEP-5 or BEP-20 token can be created on Switcheo TradeHub.

Select blockchain and input token address

Once the token address has been added, click on the search button. Details about the token will be identified automatically if the correct token address has been input. This includes details such as Internal Chain ID, deposit contract address, token full name, token denom, number of decimals, delegated supply, token symbol and native decimals.

UNI is used as an example

Step 3: Next, add a Proposal Title and Description.

Your proposal should include why you have decided to add this token, more details about the protocol, and any further information that might be useful in helping users decide on why they should support your proposal.

Step 4: Make a deposit to send your proposal to the voting stage (optional).

A deposit of 10,000 SWTH is required to send a proposal to the voting phase

All governance proposals require a deposit of 10,000 SWTH to proceed into the voting phase. This deposit can be made by proposers themselves, or by anyone in the wider community who supports the proposal and wishes to send it into the voting phase.

Deposits of passed proposals will be refunded. Deposits of failed proposals that have met certain voting criteria will also be refunded, and deposits of failed proposals that do not meet the voting criteria will be burnt.
